Congratulations to President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence on a safe and spectacular Inauguration which was attended by many people from Hawaii. Attendees reveled in the celebration of a most historic transfer of power in a solemn ceremony for the highest office in our nation. Thousands of people lined up before dawn to stand on the grounds of the nation’s capitol to witness this important occasion. Once the ceremony started, the entire grounds and streets were covered with people – standing room only, all the way beyond the Washington Monument. Jumbo-trons were set up around the entire city to allow people to view the ceremony, which was quiet, dignified and not disrupted by the “protest marchers” who had been bussed into the city.
The new President and his team began work on the day of the Inauguration and they have not stopped since. The President has followed through on so many of the promises that he made to the American people prior to the election. During the last 15 days, he has appointed cabinet members and staff, including former RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, WH Chief of staff who has been at his side as the President has signed executive orders regarding immigration, when he nominated a new Supreme Court Justice, made calls to world leaders and placed sanctions against Iran for violating the terms of their Nuclear Deal with the U.S.

Sentiments of Hawaii Inauguration Attendees – “It was the greatest honor of my lifetime to be a part of the swearing in of the 45th President of the United States”, ….“ It made us proud of our country and appreciate even more the freedom that we all take for granted”… The setting of this event at the historic capitol, in view of the Washington Monument, the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorial made us appreciate the sacrifice and the sheer genius of our founding fathers who wrote our constitution. “
The Winter Meeting of the RNC was held at the Omni Shoreham Hotel 3 days prior to the Presidential Inauguration. Reince Priebus, RNC Chairman, provided a final report of his administration where all fundraising records were broken for the RNC where we raised over 1 billion dollars during the last 6 years. Republicans now control all three branches of government, 33 Governorships – the highest level since 1992 and we control both legislative chambers in 32 states.
Elections were held for all RNC Regions and Jeff Kent, National Committeeman from WA and I were honored to be re-elected as the Vice Chairmen of the Western Region.
Ronna Romney McDaniel, Chairman of Michigan and Co-Chairman, Bob Paduchik, the Trump State Director in Ohio, who helped mastermind the strategy for winning this important state were elected unanimously by the 168 members of the RNC. Bob is a “grassroots organizer” who is eager to share his skills with state parties. Ronna is a prolific fundraiser for our Party. Our Executive Committee just approved Hotelier Steve Wynn as the Finance Chairman of the RNC. Doyle Webb, former Chairman of Arkansas was approved as the RNC Legal Counsel.
